Topic: Talking about occupations
Age: 14 - 15 minutes
Level: High Beginners
Previous Knowledge:

• The students know the use of adjectives, nouns, pronouns, and simple present.

Time allowed: 40 minutes
General Objective:

• To introduce students the most common occupations.

Specific Objectives:

• Students will identify the different occupations with the help of occupation flashcards.
• Students will choose pictures according to some descriptions.
• Students will complete the correct name of the different occupation.

Pre-Activity:

• The teacher will show to the students some flashcards related to occupations.
• The teacher will say aloud the name of the occupation.
• The student with the picture that match with the occupation will stand up and show it to the class. 

While-Activity:

• The students will receive a set pictures related to occupations.
• The teacher will read a short description of some pictures related to occupations.
• The student will choose the correct picture according to what they hear.

Post-Activity:

• The teacher will give the students a worksheet to work with.
• The students will complete the occupation.
• The students will match the word with the correct picture. 

Procedure:
Pre-Activity:

1. The teacher will introduce new vocabulary with a new activity.
2. The teacher will show some pictures of different occupations.
3. The teacher will say aloud the definition of each career according to the picture.
4. The students will receive some flashcards of different occupations.
5. The teacher will say aloud the definition of one career.
6. The students that match the picture with the definition will stand up and show the picture to the rest of the class.

While-Activity:
1. The teacher will give to the students a new activity.
2. They are going to receive a set of pictures related to occupations.
3. The students are going to listen carefully to the sentences that the teacher is going to read.
4. According to what they hear, the students are going to choose the correct picture from the set of them.

Post-Activity:1. The teacher is going to give to the students a new activity.
2. The students are going to receive a worksheet with some picture and missing letters that complete a word.
3. The students are going to complete the name of the occupations.
4. After that, they are going to match the correct picture with the name.
